Coroners: 3 found dead in Indianapolis shot multiple times

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say three people found dead in a home on Indianapolis' far east side each died of multiple gunshot wounds, and police say they're seeking four persons of interest in connection with the slayings.

The Marion County Coroner's Office on Monday released the causes of death for the three found slain Thursday. They were 64-year-old homeowner Mark Higgins; his son, 34-year-old Keith Higgins; and 34-year-old Jessica Carte.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said in a news release Monday that homicide detectives are seeking the public's assistance in locating four persons of interest. It said the four exited a car taken from the home that was found later a few miles away.

The release didn't indicate whether police know who the four are.
