Week of Kindness Event Set to Kick Off at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group
Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group and the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation will hold their annual company-wide Week of Kindness event from June 5th to June 9th. During the week, brokers from each of 24 offices will participate in philanthropic activities to benefit their local communities in a variety of ways.
"Giving back to our local communities throughout the year is an integral part of who we are as a company," said Nancy Nagy, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices KoenigRubloff Realty Group. She continued, "During the Week of Kindness each of our offices selects an organization with which to partner to give a little extra support and time. I am extremely proud of the work they have planned for the week and can't wait to hear their stories and share their results!"
Week of Kindness activities this year include packing food donations at the Greater Chicago Food Depository and Feed My Starving Children and collecting food for the Salvation Army, the Glen Ellyn Food Pantry, Loaves & Fishes, Northfield Food Pantry, Meals on Wheels, Deerfield Food Pantry and Yorkville Food Pantry. Also on the schedule is preparing meals and cookies at Ronald McDonald House, the Interfaith Action Coalition Soup Kitchen and DuPage PADS. Volunteers will make blankets for the Linus Project, sort books at Bernie's Book Bank and perform home maintenance and improvement projects for Little City Foundation group homes. Volunteers will spend time at Anixter Center, Lakeview Nursing and Rehabilitation and Glenkirk. There will also be a shoe drive, PAWS event and participation in the Race Against Hate.
Joe Stacy, Chairman of the KoenigRubloff Cares Foundation, added, "This initiative allows us to dedicate a larger group of volunteers and a larger block of time to assist an organization or undertake a specific task. The work our agents do in conjunction with their clients and the communities at large is really impactful and inspirational.
