Studying Illinois governor's race
I am a junior at Glenbard North High School and for my government class I have been watching the 2018 Gubernatorial Race. I believe that position that the Democrats, Republicans and others are running for are important because the governor controls our state military forces and control which bill get passed.
The voters of Illinois should vote for the Republican candidate Bruce Rauner because so far he has prevented the Democrats from passing a bill that would put us in more debt. He also wants to reduce the taxes on the people. Overall Rauner believes that the people should be put first and wants to save the taxpayers money and keep the money with the people.
