Police find guns, drugs during arrest for pharmacy holdups
INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities have recovered nearly a dozen firearms, narcotics and about $16,000 during the arrest of a suspect in robberies of pharmacies in Marion County.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says Tuesday that detectives and FBI agents were targeting an 18-year-old man on a federal warrant Monday at an apartment.
Eight handguns and two assault-type rifles were found inside the apartment. Police say four of the weapons had been reported as stolen. Cash, cocaine, heroin and marijuana also were confiscated.
The man wanted on a federal warrant was arrested. Two other 18-year-old men also were arrested. They face gun and drug charges.
