Wauconda 2, Antioch 0: In a downpour at the regional championship at Antioch, Wauconda, which moves to 17-0-1, scored both of its goals in the second half to pull out the win.
Savannah Johnson and Kayla Wisniewski scored goals for Wauconda while goalie Jill Rejczyk had 1 save and the shutout.
Rejczyk has 15 shutouts on the season.
Wisniewski's goal, a penalty kick, was her 24th goal of the season.
"We are very proud to be regional champions," Wauconda coach Beau Shogren said. "The girls dealt with the elements really well. We still played with speed and quality, which was eventually rewarded with a couple of goals."
Prairie Ridge 1, Lakes 0: The Wolves advanced by topping the Eagles in the Class 2A Norridge regional final.
Lake Zurich wins on penalty kicks: After battling to a 0-0 tie in the regional final at Lake Forest, Lake Zurich got a win with a 4-3 advantage on penalty kicks.
Goalie Madison Hart had 7 saves for the Bears, who move to 18-5.
