Police: Batavia man injured after being stabbed by sister

A 31-year-old Batavia man was injured after he was stabbed in the shoulder by his sister Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

Police were called to the 1100 block of West Wilson Street at 2:57 p.m. for a man suffering from a knife wound, officials said.

Officers found the man with a small puncture wound to his shoulder, officials said. He was transported the hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.

Officers were told a 30-year-old sister of the victim ran from the apartment on foot after police were called.

The woman was found on the 1400 block of West Wilson and taken in to custody.

The incident remains under investigation and charges have not yet been filed.
