A Waukegan man wanted in connection with a burglary in Gurnee was captured Thursday by the Lake County Sheriff's Office Warrants Team and U.S. Marshals Service - Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, authorities said.

Malcolm D. Green, 23, of the 900 block of South Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, was found hiding in the kitchen of his home, officials said.

During the arrest, members of the Warrants Team found a .40-caliber handgun as well as marijuana in his belongings, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. That resulted in additional charges of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon, possession of a defaced weapon and unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver.

Green remains held on $500,000 bail at the Lake County jail on the new charges, as well as the $200,000 arrest warrant. He's scheduled to appear in court June 8.
