Suburban Anarchy Wins the 2017 Naperville Battle of the Bands

Six high school student rock bands from Naperville area high schools competed in the Naperville Park District Youth Ambassadors' 14th annual Battle of the Bands contest on Friday, May 12, 2017. Suburban Anarchy from Naperville Central High School won the contest. They will perform at Ribfest at a time to be announced and will represent the Naperville Park District in the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association's statewide Battle of the Bands.

The second and third place winners, both from Neuqua Valley High School, were Second Grade and Ahead of Ourselves. They will play at Rollin' on the River on Fri., July 21 and at the Frontier Kite Fly Festival, presented by Naperville Moms Network, on Sunday, June 4 at Frontier Sports Complex, located at 3380 Cedar Glade Drive.

The Youth Ambassadors congratulates the winners of the 2017 contest and thanks all of the bands for participating. Youth Ambassadors is a group of high school students who work with the Naperville Park District to plan community-wide special events for teens each year.
