Meri Maa- A fitting Tribute to Mothers
Chicago IL: A grand Mother's Day brunch was organized at Bristol Palace Banquet by Mr. Amit Vatal along with Tariq Khan of Melody Productions, Altaf Baig and Shafee Baig from Bristol Palace Banquets and Monty's Elegant Banquets on May 14th, 2017.
The venue was packed to capacity with 350 guests who celebrated Mother's Day with their loved ones.
Meri Maa started at 11.30 am and provided a cruise style buffet with over 40 entrees. Guests enjoyed Indian, American, Greek and Italian style cuisine. The event commenced with entertainment presented by Mandi theater group featuring performances by Mothers and small kids. Their colorful Bollywood dances made the audience nostalgic and earned their appreciation.
This was followed by the opening ceremony and lamp lighting by the chief guest, Mrs. Santosh Kumar, who also was the event's grand sponsor, Sunil Shah, Dr Jafri and Hitesh Gandhi accompanied the chief guest on stage and participated in lamp lighting. Mrs. Kumar gave a special mother's day message to the guests and highlighted the unique role Mother's play in our society. She was presented with a bouquet of flowers by the organizers.
The Singing program started at 2pm and went on until 5pm with Chicago's best singers performing delightful melodies. The singers were Pavithra Anand, Radhika Chimata, Rajesh Challam, Sameer Saini and Parth Patel. They enthralled the audience with some of the best Bollywood numbers. The live orchestra complimented the singers very well. Several members of the audience joined on the dance floor and showed their dancing talent. It was a memorable day for the guests who were treated to a wonderful brunch and entertainment.
The vendor booths provided a nice shopping experience for the guests.
Air India was the platinum sponsor for the event and there was a raffle draw for a free air ticket to India. Katherine did the Raffle draw and Abhi Trivedi won the raffle price and a ticket to India.
The beautiful banquet decorations in pink and white were done by Dream Decor.
In order to honor the Mothers, all guests who were accompanied by their Moms were admitted free.
