Softball: Grant powers past Grayslake North

Grant 13, Grayslake North 6: Erin Bengston hit her 16th home run of the season, walked four times and drove in 3 runs, as the visiting Bulldogs won in Northern Lake County action.

Grant improved to 20-7 and 7-5 in the NLCC.

Sophomore Grace Brown (2-for-3, 3 RBI) hit her seventh home run of the season and 14th of her career for Grayslake North (12-15, 5-7). Lindsea Spiewak hit her first career homer in the bottom of the seventh. Faith Standerski, Kylie Conrad, Brown and Katie Moats all finished with 2 hits apiece.

Winning pitcher Sydney Goessele and Madeline Quinn each collected 2 RBI for Grant. Eight players had hits for the Bulldogs.
