Softball: Mundelein edges Libertyville

Mundelein 6, Libertyville 4: On Tuesday, the visiting Mustangs got home runs from Brianna Adams, Meghan Eheman and Kira Buckner in upsetting the Wildcats.

The loss dropped Libertyville (23-5, 10-2) a game back of Warren atop the North Suburban Conference standings with two games remaining for each team. Mundelein improved to 12-15 and 8-4 in the NSC.

Ehemann hit a 3-run homer in the first to start the scoring. Adams and Buckner added solo shots, as the Mustangs pounded out 10 hits against Wildcats ace Hanna Heraty.

Heraty had Libertyville's lone homer. Adams went the distance in the circle, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks, while striking out two.
