Lentz begins second term as Mundelein's mayor
Mundelein Mayor Steve Lentz recited the oath of office and began his second term as the village's top elected official during this week's village board meeting.
Lentz and other officials who were elected in April began their terms Monday. They include incumbent trustees Ray Semple and Dawn Abernathy; new Trustee Robin Meier, who actually served on the board once before; and Village Clerk Katy Timmerman.
Lentz defeated Holly Kim by five votes to win re-election. She is mulling a possible legal challenge and recount.
