Girls soccer: Antioch hangs on against Grayslake North

Antioch held a 2-0 lead at the half and made it hold up in a 2-1 victory over Grayslake North in girls soccer Tuesday.

Rachel Moore scored both Antioch goals.

Goalie Monica Wilhelm had 4 saves for the Sequoits, who move to 14-5-2 on the sesaon.

Moore now has 21 goals on the season.

Junior Lauren Davis scored Grayslake North's only goal on an unassisted penalty kick.

Goalie Emily Dunne had 4 saves for the Knights, who drop to 10-5-2.

Grant 3, Round Lake 2: Grant won on penalty kicks.

The Bulldogs rallied from a 1-0 halftime deficit to tie the game at 2-2 by the end of regulation.

Grant goalie Lexi Werve had 6 saves.

Lakes 8, North Chicago 0: Bella Pighini had 2 goals and assist to lead Lakes to the shutout win.

Lindsey Kumpula added a goal and an assist for the Eagles.

Goalies Peyton Landy and Molly Bakrins each played a half and had 1 save apiece.

Lakes is now 9-8-1 overall and 4-3 in the Northern Lake County Conference.
