Authorities identify 2 of 4 killed in crash with Chicago bus

CHICAGO (AP) - Officials say two Chicago women were among four people killed when the speeding car they were in collided head-on with a bus.

Police say a man driving the car hit a parked vehicle before it veered out of control into the oncoming Chicago Transit Authority bus around 6 a.m. Sunday on the city's west side.

The Cook County medical examiner's office says 25-year-old Ashley Moore and 22-year-old Tycika Fairley died in the crash. Names of the car's driver and another passenger who died hadn't been released early Monday.

People in the East Garfield Park neighborhood rushed to the scene and tried to pull victims out of the car, but they faced smoke and flames. The bus driver and some passengers were taken to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries.
