Retro Bistro honors Mexican cuisine with a French flare in a nod to Cinco de Mayo. From Friday through Sunday, May 5-7, at its Mt. Prospect and Crystal Lake locations, try dishes like baked Puerto Vallarta oysters, tamale of duck confit, pulled Guadalajara pork salad, roasted chicken dark mole, bistro flan, rock shrimp Cancun quesadillas, roasted sweet corn soup, grilled bucerias skirt steak, el capitan parchment steamed grouper fish, French cut 12-ounce Punta Mita pork chops and churros au chocolate. Noodles & Company Bloomingdale to open

A new Noodles & Company opens Monday in Bloomingdale serving classic noodle dishes, soups and salads from around the world. The menu offers 15 fresh, customizable dishes free of artificial colors, flavors, preservatives and sweeteners.
