Naperville Riverwalk Café opens May 5 featuring new menu

The Naperville Park District's Riverwalk Café will open its doors for the summer season beginning Friday, May 5, with daily hours from 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.

A new menu for 2017 features grass-fed burgers on the grill, handmade shakes and daily specials Monday through Thursday. Beginning June 3, guests will be able to enjoy live acoustic music on Saturday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Daily specials include $2 Kids Meals on Mondays, Tacos and Big Joe Burritos on Tuesdays, Build It Up Burgers for $6 on Wednesdays and Half-Price Lite Bites from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursdays.

Handmade shakes can be ordered in blueberry, caramel, chocolate, strawberry, vanilla or Oreo flavors. Desserts include soft serve ice cream, cookies, a brownie sundae, muffins and a fresh fruit cup.

"The new menu features a great variety of grilled burgers, sandwiches and salads, with healthy choices as well as popular treats," said Director of Recreation Brad Wilson. "Wine and draft and bottled beer are available along with fountain drinks, coffee and iced tea. The Café has something for everyone, whether they are stopping by for an ice cream, meeting friends to enjoy an appetizer, or staying for lunch or dinner."

The Riverwalk Café includes both indoor and outdoor seating, with a patio overlooking the scenic Riverwalk. The Café is located at 441 Aurora Avenue on the Riverwalk near Rotary Hill.
