It's Congress that writes the tax code

On April 29, Jill Versace expressed her doubt that anyone believes trickle down economics works. Some research shows the economic experts cannot agree if works or not. On that subject you can believe who you want.

She also claims the GOP does not care about the budget deficit. Simple research shows the largest increase in the deficit occurred under President Obama. To be fair, George W. Bush was No. 2. Her position on tax reform depends on Donald Trump's tax return for the past decade or two. While these may show how the tax code favors the wealthy, Trump was not an elected official then.

Congress writes the tax code that favors the wealthy. Look up the net worth of congressmen and you would be surprised how many, both Democrat and Republican, are worth tens of millions of dollars. And yes, these people write the tax code.
