New Woodland District 50 board members sworn in

Five school board members, including four newcomers, were sworn in Monday at Gurnee-based Woodland Elementary District 50.

Longtime board member Carla Little and newcomers Joyce Mason, Jennifer Haack and Joseph DeRosa were given the oath of office for four-year terms this week. Newcomer Elizabeth Helgren was sworn in for a two-year term.

The district also recognized the service of Tony DeMonte, Bill Barnabee, Vincent Juarez and Renea Amen, who exited the seven-member board.

Fellow board members selected Little to serve as president for the next two years.
