Audrey Nixon was model public servant

Audrey Nixon served her community, constituency, county and church with loyalty, dedication, passion and compassion. She was steadfast in her values and beliefs and epitomized the highest quality of public servitude.

Her political savvy, wit and wisdom was also mirrored through her wonderful sense of humor and contagious laugh. Audrey was a force of nature in promoting the dream of creating the Greenbelt Cultural Center and ultimately making it become reality.

A fitting tribute to her lifelong endeavor of community service and contributions would be to name the center in her honor.

Rest In Peace, Audrey - and thank you for being such a strong leader, voice and public advocate for the people you helped and represented so well.
