Pentagon 9/11 survivor to speak to Aurora Navy League Council 247
Crystal Lake resident Ryan Yantis will present "Pentagon 9/11: A Survivor's Stories of Service, Providence, and Overcoming Challenges" at the Aurora Navy League Council 247 meeting on Tuesday, May 16, at Grandma's Table Restaurant, 1700 Douglas Road in Montgomery. The public is invited.
Yantis, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, is vice president of education and outreach for American Price Inc., a nonprofit supporting Pentagon and World Trade Center 9/11 survivors.
He will speak after a 5:15 p.m. reception and 6 p.m. dinner. Entrees of fish, chicken or beef are $20. A dinner salad is $12.
Decorated for his actions on 9/11, Yantis will recount overcoming challenges in the face of danger. He served more than 22 years as a cavalry officer and Army spokesman in 33 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Ryan also is principal of SilverLeaf Leadership Communication, a full-service public relations consultancy integrating professional communication, leadership and management counsel, and veteran engagement. SilverLeaf is a disabled veteran-owned business.
