Oakton hires new assistant vice president

Oakton Community College has named a new assistant vice president for student affairs and dean of access, equity and diversity.

The college's board Tuesday voted to hire Juletta Patrick, who was an associate vice president at McHenry County College for seven years.

Patrick will earn a salary of $115,000. She was selected from more than 200 applicants, officials said, and starts Monday.

"I am excited Juletta will be part of our Oakton team," Vice President for Student Affairs Karl Brooks said in a news release Wednesday. "Her talent, expertise and passion for supporting the learning and development of community college students is evident."
