Girls soccer: Aurora Central, Westminster win

Gina Cortino scored 2 goals Wednesday to lead the Aurora Central Catholic girls soccer team to a 2-1 win over Regina.

Victoria Opperman added an assist for the Chargers (8-3-2) and Alex Montalbano made 12 saves in goal.

Westminster Christian 8, Rockford Christian Life 0: Anna DeHaan had a hat trick as Westminster won in the Northeastern Athletic Conference. Lexi Kuhlmann added 2 goals for the Warriors (6-5, 3-1) while Johanna Siers, Hannah Norden and Emma Gorman had single knocks. Grace Bickford made 2 saves in goal.
