Real Madrid to play MLS All-Stars in Chicago

Major League Soccer announced Saturday that famed Spanish club Real Madrid will be the opponent in the MLS All-Star Game at Soldier Field.

The Aug. 2 match will feature Real Madrid as it prepares for the 2017-18 La Liga season. Real Madrid, long rumored to be the all-stars' opponent, has won 32 La Liga championships and won the UEFA Champions League 11 times.

The Spanish club sports some of the world's best players, such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos. It is the first Spanish club to play against the MLS All-Stars.

Tickets are available through the Chicago Fire, which is hosting the game.
