Boys water polo: Barrington wins big on way to title

Barrington's boys water polo team won by double digits against all three of its opponents in the tournament hosted by the Broncos on Saturday.

Barrington handled Maine West 14-4, Libertyville 14-4 and McHenry 23-12.

The Broncos, who lead the Mid-Suburban League's West Division by 1 game, host their nearest challenger in the divisional race, Conant, at 5:45 p.m. Monday.

• Fremd split its four games in the Waubonsie Valley tournament, topping Highland Park 9-4 and Waubonsie Valley 11-7 but dropping a 6-5 decision to Latin and an 8-6 outcome to St. Charles East.
