Des Plaines Elementary District 62 seeking school board applicants

Des Plaines Elementary District 62 is seeking applications for a vacancy on the school board.

Five candidates vied for four 4-year terms during the election, but no one sought the open 2-year term. The appointee would serve on the school board until the April 2, 2019 election.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old, a resident of the school district for at least one year preceding the appointment and a registered voter. They must not be a child sex offender, hold another incompatible public office or have a prohibited interest in any contract with the district.
