Democratic Party has lost its identity

I am writing today to remind Democrats they used to be the "Party of FDR" and to this end, were amazingly successful. Please see the first two paragraphs of FDR's letter to the DNC following their refusal of his new Progressive Democratic pick for VP, Henry Wallace in 1940.

"In the century in which we live, the Democratic Party has received the support of the electorate only when the party, with absolute clarity, has been the champion of progressive and liberal policies and principles of government," he wrote. "The party has failed consistently when through political trading and chicanery it has fallen into the control of those interests, personal and financial, which think in terms of dollars instead of in terms of human values."

Republicans repeat they are the "Party of Lincoln" and if you were to ask a Democrat what their party stands for in 2017 they couldn't even say.

Go ahead, ask a Dem today what the party stand for, and watch them go blank. The Democratic Party has lost its way and sadly wears "corporate Democratic blinders."

The leaked emails clearly prove the DNC - and not Russia - ruined their own chances for the White House when they cheated Americans out of POTUS Candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, who wears FDR's progressivism like a neon sign, who had standing-room-only at his rallies.

Russia had nothing to do with it. FDR was right, after all, and the DNC should get a clue - if they ever wish to win another election.
