Hersey's boys water polo team finished 2-1 to take third place in the Huskie-Gren Shootout, co-hosted by Hersey and Elk Grove.

Andrew topped Maine South 13-6 in the championship game.

Hersey topped Elk Grove 11-6 in the third-place game as junior R.J. Quinn scored a game-high 5 goals.

Earlier in the day, Hersey dropped a 10-4 decision to Maine South and handled Hoffman Estates 13-1.

• In tournament play at Glenbrook South, Conant lost to the host Titans 18-11 but was victorious against Warren (12-4) and Hinsdale Central (8-6).
