Be mindful of what Trump said about guns

I wish people would read what President Trump said on rolling back restriction on gun access. Nowhere did he say we should allow people with serious mental illness be allowed to own firearms.

Obama actually wanted to not allow many injured veterans, Social Security members and anyone who needed help with handling their finances or daily living, access to guns even if they were not a danger to themselves or anyone else. The Constitution does not allow individual rights to be stripped without due process.

Mental illness does not mean they are always a dangerous person. Getting old does not mean they are a danger to anyone. My parents died at 88 and 91 years old and needed help with daily living and finances but were never a danger to anyone.

If you know someone has a serious mental illness please get them help and if deemed necessary make sure they do not have access to guns.
