Girls soccer: Antioch shuts out Regina Dominican

Ella Roberts scored twice, junior keeper Monica Wilhelm notched her 20th career shutout, and Antioch's girls soccer team blanked visiting Regina Dominican 3-0 in a nonconference match Wednesday.

Rachel Moore tallied her fifth goal of the season, as the Sequoits (3-1-1) did all of their scoring in the first half. Roberts also had an assist, as did Danielle Brose.

"We controlled the game from the start," assistant coach Matt Bohmann said. "Ella dominated the midfield. We took our foot off the pedal in the second half but still closed out of the game strong."

Antioch next plays at 11:30 a.m. Saturday when it visits Rockford Guilford.
