Lake County leaders to host drug information forum Thursday

The Lake County State's Attorney's Office, the Lake County Opioid Initiative, and Warren Township Youth & Family Services will host a drug information forum from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Woodland Middle School 7000 W. Washington St., Gurnee.

A presentation will focus on adolescent brain development, heroin and other opioid trends and related issues. Drug enforcement agents and Gurnee police will join the conversation, and there will be a Q&A session with a panel of experts, unused prescription medication drive, and community resource tables. Childcare will be available.
