Willow Creek Community Church, now in its 41st year, is a nondenominational Christian church with weekly attendance of more than 25,000. The main campus is located at 67 E. Algonquin Road, South Barrington. Seven other Willow Creek churches are located throughout the Chicago area.
Lee Strobel is the former award-winning legal editor of The Chicago Tribune and best-selling author of more than 20 books. His classic, "The Case for Christ," is a perennial favorite which details his conversion to Christianity. His recent release, "The Case for Grace," just won the 2016 Nonfiction Book of the Year from the EPCA. For the last 25 years, his goal has been to share the evidence that supports the truth and claims of Christianity and to equip believers to share their faith with the people they know and love.
Lee was a journalist for 14 years at The Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, winning Illinois' highest honor for public service journalism from United Press International. He also led a team that won UPI's top award for investigative reporting in Illinois.
Anne Lamott writes and speaks about subjects like alcoholism, motherhood and Jesus. Armed with self-effacing humor - she is laugh-out-loud funny and ruthlessly honest - she converts her subjects into enchantment.
Lamott is the author of the forthcoming book, "Hallelujah Anyway," and The New York Times best-sellers "Small Victories," "Stitches," "Help, Thanks, Wow," "Some Assembly Required," "Grace (Eventually)," "Plan B" and "Traveling Mercies," as well as several novels, including "Imperfect Birds" and "Rosie." She has a special way of communicating her faith in her books and in person; she lifts, comforts, and inspires, all the while keeping her audience laughing. Lamott is a past recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and an inductee to the California Hall of Fame.
