Vote for inclusion
Our local school board elections are on Tuesday, April 4. Now, more than ever we need to think about our children's future and elect those who support children first.
When I see and hear of others having ulterior motives to derail the education and lives of students, I'm not happy. No one has the right to treat others like they were abominations or lepers. We are talking about children.
People may not agree, but to mistreat the LGBTQ youth is beyond comprehension. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in ages 10-24. Car accidents are first. It's deplorable that adults would act this way.
If you or your child truly are not comfortable with our schools' decision to allow transgender youth access to locker rooms or bathrooms, then I would suggest you enroll your children in a private school.
