Keep Argiris at the helm in Wheeling

We wholeheartedly endorse Dean Argiris for re-election as our Wheeling village president. Both he and our current village board have been a powerful force over the last four years moving us in the right direction and they deserve our support.

Here in Wheeling we're lucky to have a team of leaders who work tirelessly on our behalf and have much to show for it.

Dean has spearheaded economic development throughout our village. Two new TIF districts have helped attract developers and led to new businesses all over town. Highlighted by the new town center, the list includes Northgate Crossing apartments, Northgate Townhomes and The Whitley Assisted Living Facility, to name a few.

Dean and his team have used 6B tax relief programs to attract new business. Our village is trending in the right direction under Dean's leadership and that is not something voters should overlook.

Attracting new business has paid real dividends. Over the last two years we have enjoyed a budget surplus and had a balanced budget over the last three - this while also investing in our infrastructure.

Since 2013, there have been $34.7 million in capital improvement projects, all paid for without bonding.

Look around, the improvements are everywhere. So when you see all the Dean Argiris yard signs, you'll know why so many of us have Dean's back - because for the last four years, he's had ours!

Please help our village continue to move in the right direction, re-elect Dean Argiris as our village president.
