Vote for honesty

I just received in this week's mail a campaign flyer from Mike Kozel which indicated Karen Darch was spending our tax dollars in an out-of-control manner. He states the village debt went from $29.2 million dollars to $56.4 million in just one year. The statement blames this increase on Ms. Darch. The fact is this increase is due to an accounting change which now shows the pension shortage in the debt column. This is not new debt from spending at all, just a change in how the existing debt is accounted for. Mr. Kozel knows this, yet he continues to mislead the residents of Barrington in order to get votes. This type of action is exactly what we don't need from our politicians. Please vote for Karen Darch for village president, an honest politician.
