After losing a morning game 8-6 to Troy, Calif., the Mustangs (2-2) rallied to victory over JW North, Calif. in Anaheim. Downers South scored all its runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. A hit batter with the bases loaded and a passed ball allowed the runs to score. Andrew Alfini earned the win and Kyle Heavey the save for the Mustangs, who won despite only 3 hits.
Green, Ohio 6, St. Francis 4:
A 4-run rally in the top of the seventh inning wasn't enough for the Spartans (1-3). Liam Brown went 2-for-3.
Oswego East 9, Westmont 3:
Caden Anderson and Dan Fredericks went 2-for-3 for the Sentinels (3-2) in the road loss. Alex Marotta doubled and drove in a run.
