Women's Club of Inverness: Giving a Shot
On April 13, 2017, the Women's Club of Inverness (WCI) holds its annual spring fashion show/fundraiser at the Stonegate Conference and Banquet Centre, from 9:30-3. This year's theme is My Fair Stylish Lady. One highlight of the day's activities is a Silent Auction of over thirty items. The following are only a few samples of the many that also include jewelry, spa days, dancing, and much more.
Hamilton, two tickets
A touch of an English garden with ready to go potted plants
A foursome at Kemper Lakes Golf Club
Arlington International Racecourse, admission for six in a private box plus wine
Cubs v Mets, two tickets
Hand-painted toddler chair plus quilt
"We are very pleased with the generosity and efforts of our members and businesses to put this collection together," said Pam Panczyk, Silent Auction Co-chair.
Last year over 300 women attended, and their generosity resulted in seventeen college scholarships to area students and grants to thirty non-profits.
In addition to the silent auction, members and guests may browse vendor displays and buy raffle tickets even if they can't attend the drawing.
"It's all coming together," said Marla Bradley, Silent Auction Co-chair. "We're going for beauty, with a surprise or two."
Lunch at Stonegate is followed by a ZZAZZ fashion show production.
