Incumbent has shown leadership in township

We enthusiastically support the candidacy of Kathleen O'Connor for re-election as Libertyville Township Supervisor. Working closely with Kathleen on a variety of community activities, we have come to learn many characteristics that make her the better candidate for this office. Her current term of office speaks well of her qualities of leadership and her fiscally conservative policy across responsibilities.

We've found her a very collaborative public official who thoroughly investigates the facts of any subject. She has a quick grasp of details and sees the big picture in regard to the welfare of the township.

In response to our neighborhood requests, she was able to bring about the construction of the Bull Creek Trail in the Liberty Prairie Reserve, working with ComEd and other entities to make it happen. Being on the board of the Lake County Audubon Society, we were able to establish a partnership with the township to improve wildlife habitat in the Liberty Prairie Reserve by planting trees and shrubs there.

As Chair of the Lake County Coordinated Transportation Services Committee, Kathleen has worked hard with others to expand public transportation services for seniors 60 years of age and older and individuals with disabilities. Her leadership improved our township food pantry, which served 307 households last year.

Implementing long-term plans for the restoration of eroded areas and expanding access for the public to use and enjoy. Her skills have helped achieve successful private sector grants to minimize the impact on existing funds.

Kathleen O'Connor is the only O'Connor to vote for in the April 4th election for supervisor of Libertyville Township.
