Nature-themed photo exhibit opens April 7 in Libertyville

A new exhibition by the Chicago Photographic Arts Society, "A Journey of Discovery," opens April 7 at the David Adler Music and Arts Center, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville. The exhibition, which runs through April 27, features close-ups of the natural world from the auroras of Iceland to a microscopic view of curling leaves, as seen through the lenses of 21 North Shore and Chicago-area photographers. A public opening reception is 6 to 8 p.m. April 7. The exhibition is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is no admission charge for the reception or exhibition.
