Dist. 207 foundation holding benefit dinner

The Maine Township High School District 207 Educational Foundation is hosting the ninth annual benefit dinner to fund various programs in the district.

"The Maine Event" is 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 6, at Café La Cave, 2777 Mannheim Road in Des Plaines. The dinner is the major fundraising event for the volunteer nonprofit organization.

Donation have helped pay for teacher grants, student programs and school physicals for low-income students, for example.

There will also be a silent auction and raffles.
