Arlington Heights police say there's no threat to school

Arlington Heights police said Wednesday there is no threat to South Middle School after parents became concerned with an online video that made reference to the school.

Police Sgt. Chuck Buczynski said the minute-long video, produced by a juvenile with autism using a green screen at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, included a short clip of the school's student news announcements and audio of gunshots. The video also includes clips of various movies and anime.

The juvenile, who is home-schooled, was interviewed by police Wednesday morning and charged with disorderly conduct. As a precaution, squad cars patrolled around the school Wednesday.
