Monsters mash Chicago Wolves 4-1

CLEVELAND - For the first time since Feb. 11, the Chicago Wolves didn't earn at least one point in a game as they dropped a 4-1 decision to the Cleveland Monsters on Tuesday night at Quicken Loans Arena.

During their 13-game streak without a regulation loss, the Wolves posted nine wins and four overtime losses to pull within one point of Grand Rapids in the Central Division race.

Chicago (37-18-7-3) took a 1-0 lead Tuesday on Ty Loney's first-period goal and was tied 1-1 entering the third period, but Ryan Craig, Ty Tynan and Justin Scott scored for Cleveland (29-27-3-4) in the final frame.

Wolves goaltender Ville Husso (8-6-1) posted 24 saves while Cleveland's Anton Forsberg (20-15-3) earned the win with 21 saves.

The Wolves and Monsters meet again at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Quicken Loans Arena.
