Mayor has brought success to Mundelein

Mundelein residents have seen much in the way of community improvements in the past few years including reconstructed streets, successes in creating a new downtown and huge success toward the goal of business growth. Much of the credit for this success goes to our mayor, Steve Lentz. Lentz has demonstrated an exceptional ability to attract investment into our town and he has a knack for working with our village staff in getting them to achieve the utmost for Mundelein residents.

Mayor Lentz has done all of this in spite of working with one trustee who has detracted from our success. That trustee is his opponent in the April election, Holly Kim. Although energetic and a pleasant young woman, Kim's actions and voting record reflect at times a desire for publicity rather than her study of issues and consideration for staff recommendations.

As a 16-year veteran trustee who served two years with Ms. Kim, I am still perplexed at some of her strange public policy choices.

Please remember to vote in this election on April 4 or vote early at the Fremont library. It is my hope you will help ensure Mundelein's continued progress by casting your votes for Steve Lentz and the independent clerk and trustee candidates who have done so much to bring about so many positive changes for our town.
