No injuries as lightning sparks Naperville house fire
A lightning strike is being blamed for a fire at a home on the 1500 block of Ada Lane in Naperville, authorities said.
Firefighters were called at 4:17 a.m. Monday by the homeowner. They arrived to find smoke coming from the second floor and attic and small amounts of fire coming from the roof.
Everyone inside the house escaped safely, firefighters said, and no injuries were reported.
Damage estimates were not immediately available but the residence was deemed uninhabitable by a Naperville inspector.
