Girls soccer: Batavia, West Aurora notch victories

Batavia 2, Waubonsie Valley 0: The Bulldogs (2-0) won a nonconference tilt thanks to goals from Keegan Maris and Gracey DiBiase. Goalkeeper Jenny Scara made a last second save on a penalty kick to preserve the win.

West Aurora 3, Oswego 2: The Blackhawks (2-1) won their second-straight in nonconference action led by Audrey Stephens' 1 goal, 1 assist night. Olivia McPherson and Gracie Prather also scored goals while Riley O'Brien and Sofia Papoutsis added assists. Goalkeeper Bailey Ziman made a big PK save as well.
