M.H.S. staff Variety Show to raise funds for scholarship

Mundelein High School's staff will provide an evening of entertainment with its Variety Show at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23, in the M.H.S. Auditorium. Admission is $2 for all seats and donations will be accepted at the door.

Funds collected will go to the Jerri Craven Scholarship. Craven was a long-term family and consumer science teacher who died unexpectedly in September.

According to math instructor Jeff Harding, organizer of the event, nearly 35 staff members will participate in the show. Acts will include karaoke singers, two staff members who will perform original songs they've written, a comedy skit about coaching, a theater one-act play, a harpist, a group dance, a big chorus number and a special performance by members of the board of education.

"This is a great way to entertain our students and staff and to raise money for this good cause at the same time," Harding said. "We encourage all area residents to come out and enjoy a fun evening at the Staff Variety Show."

Mundelein High School is at 1350 W Hawley St., Mundelein.
