Grace Lutheran Church Announces Holy Week Worship Services April 16 Through April 23

Grace Lutheran Church, 493 Forest Avenue in downtown Glen Ellyn, is offering a variety of worship experiences during Holy Week, April 16 through April 23. Palm Sunday Services are on April 16 at 8:00 and 10:30 AM. Both worship services begin with the Procession with Palms. Grace is worshiping with Eco-Palms purchased through Lutheran World Relief. These palms are harvested without clear-cutting, with the communities that raise and harvest them receiving 5-6 times the pay they would usually receive; this fair-trade practice improves communities by allowing for better education, clean water and improved health. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday Services are at 7:00 PM on April 20 and 21. The Maundy Thursday worship includes communion and the Stripping of the Altar. Good Friday is a contemplative service, featuring a full reading of the Passion Narrative with Tenebrae and Adoration of the Cross. Call 630-469-1555 for information about these worship experiences.
