Softball: St. Edward falls in season opener
Emily Stapay and Ashley Miller each had a double and 2 RBI but St. Edward opened the softball season Friday with a 9-5 loss to St. Viator at the Peoria Notre Dame Invite.
Devyn Ernst also drove in a run for the Green Wave.
Stapay was the losing pitcher.
St. Edward will play Benet and Peoria Notre Dame on Saturday.
Lisle 7, ACC 0: Isabel Gonzales and Izzy Hernandez had the only hits for Aurora Central in its season-opening loss.
