Paint Your Pet Event Benefits Barb's Precious Rescue in Palatine

On Thursday, March 2nd, supporters of Barb's Precious Rescue and Adoption Center (BPRAC), Palatine, gathered for a "Paint Your Pet" fundraising event at Pinot's Palette at The Arboretum in South Barrington. The event was held from 6-9 p.m.

This was a great opportunity for patrons of Barb's Rescue to paint a portrait of their pet. The best part was they didn't need to have any drawing talent to do so. Pinot's Palette downloaded previously submitted pet pictures onto a 16 X 20 canvas. They then taught those attending how to beautifully paint the picture themselves. Those attending indicated they had a lot of fun. Even better, they got to leave with a very personal painting of their favorite pet, something to treasure forever.

The evening began with time to enjoy some light refreshments and included several raffles throughout the evening. Raffle items were generously provided by Barb's Rescue volunteer and event coordinator, Louise Basgall. There was plenty of artistic help on site to assist the artists in training with their masterpieces. Barb's Precious Rescue founder, Barb Weber, was also on hand for the event. She provided guests an update on the rescue.

Barb's Rescue is planning to host another event at Pinot's Palette in June. To join them, go on-line to: Pinot's Palette, South Barrington,
