Defense spending. Talk about overkill.

President Trump and Congressional republicans intend to significantly increase defense spending by $50 billion or so. Talk about overkill.

Republicans never seem to be concerned about wasteful and unnecessary when it is for defense.

In 2016 U.S. defense spending was more than the next seven countries combined. We also have more carriers (19), than Russia and China combined (two).

We will certainly not be involved in a major ground war, so why do Republicans and some Democrats want to increase defense spending?

President Eisenhower in his farewell address warned of the Military Industrial Complex. Unfortunately Congress has ignored his warning.
