Candidate is right for school board
In reading the Daily Herald's March 1 choices for the Arlington Heights School District 25 School Board, I noted that Dr. Denise Glasgow was not one of your choices. Based upon her twelve year tenure on the school board, her professional educational experiences both at the K-8 and university levels, her academic credentials, and being a lifetime resident of Arlington Heights, it would appear to me that Dr. Glasgow should have been an obvious choice.
Not only her stewardship as a fiscally responsible advocate for the district, she has also served on numerous committees that focused on the academic, social, and emotional needs of the district's students.
In her capacity as a school board member, she was appointed to serve on the District 25 Strategic Plan Committee, where she partnered with teachers, administrators, parents, village representatives, and community members to ensure that diverse voices were included in the committee deliberations.
The choice for the Arlington Heights School District 25 school board should be Dr. Denise Glasgow.
